The role
The Senior Shelter Associate will support comprehensive sectoral needs assessments in shelter and emergency response, providing technical guidance on construction and infrastructure projects within the Area of Responsibility.
What you'll do
- Assist in carrying out shelter needs assessments while liaising with other relevant sectors
- Work with stakeholders to ensure that the shelter beneficiary selection process prioritizes vulnerable persons
- Provide support in daily management of construction and infrastructure projects within the AoR
- Monitor and follow up on design and construction of infrastructure to confirm compliance with standards

- Experience in shelter response related to the Syria crisis (preferred)
- Specific experience in shelter response related to the Syria crisis (good to have)
- Experience in monitoring and/or management of shelter partnership agreements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering, Architecture
