The role
Senior Project Engineer – Solar & BESS at Heirloom, a company focused on solving climate change challenges, is responsible for engineering, procurement, construction, and project controls of solar and battery energy storage systems.
What you'll do
- Translate standard electrical and controls requirements into solar, BESS and O&M scopes of work, specifications and datasheets
- Lead design reviews with integrators, EPCs and the owner’s engineer
- Own technical integration of solar and BESS with on-site generation and data center loads
- Support HAZOP/HAZID, FMEA, NFPA 855 hazard mitigation analysis, UL 9540A review and AHJ/fire marshal engagement
- Oversee contractor and vendor engineering progress, inspections, FAT/SAT, delivery, installation and energization
- Lead commissioning, capacity and performance testing, and punch-list closeout
