The role
Axios is seeking a creative, highly organized Producer/Senior Producer to help grow their original video portfolio, including The Axios Show and other editorial video formats across YouTube, social, and digital platforms.
What you'll do
- Produce video from ideation through scripting, shooting, post-production, publishing, and promotion
- Shape ideas into pitches, treatments, scripts, shot lists, and other production materials
- Partner with editorial and video leaders to develop creative concepts and deliver engaging, accurate video
- Lead or support field, studio, and remote-based productions
- Work effectively with journalists, executives, guests, and other on-camera talent
- Coordinate work across internal teams, freelancers, contractors, vendors, and production partners
What it takes
- 5-7+ years of relevant video production, journalism, digital media, broadcast, documentary, branded-content, or comparable editorial experience
- Demonstrated experience producing, shooting, and editing professional video content
- Strong editorial judgment, visual storytelling skills, and the ability to turn ideas into compelling finished video
- Experience producing for YouTube and an understanding of audience development, search/discovery, retention, and platform-native storytelling
- Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
- Experience working with on-camera talent, alongside strong writing, communication, and project-management skills
