The role

What you'll do

  • Provides regular analytical updates on political developments in Ukraine
  • Develops and maintains communication channels with senior government officials and other stakeholders
  • Prepares briefing notes for the Secretary-General and Senior Advisers
  • Manages, coordinates, and supervises research on a variety of political issues
  • Coordinates closely with DPPA-ECAD on security-related matters

What it takes

  • Advanced university degree in political science, international relations, or related field
  • At least ten years of progressively responsible experience in political analysis and producing high-quality analytical products
  • Experience working in the United Nations in support of preventive diplomacy, mediation, and peacebuilding
  • Up-to-date knowledge of the current political situation in Ukraine
  • Fluency in English; French, Russian, Chinese (Mandarin), Spanish, or Arabic is desirable
