The role
The American Red Cross is seeking a Senior Philanthropy Director to support the Transformational Giving team in Central South Texas markets (Dallas, Houston, or Austin).
What you'll do
- Implement an overall fundraising strategy
- Manage an assigned donor portfolio to maximize revenue growth
- Partner with field fundraisers to maximize revenue growth
- Develop strategies to identify and leverage relationships with families, foundation decision-makers, and C-suite contacts
- Work collaboratively with other departments and partner with development staff
- Recruit high-net-worth donors to support the American Red Cross
What it takes
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related discipline
- Minimum 10 years of fundraising and/or sales experience
- Extensive knowledge of fundraising and/or sales principles and techniques
- Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Knowledge of fundraising database systems
