The role

The Senior Managing Director, Humanitarian Portfolio will lead and oversee Save the Children US’s humanitarian portfolio ensuring high-quality, compliant, on-time, and on-budget delivery.

What you'll do

  • Lead team ensuring high-quality project delivery on time and within budget
  • Ensure program interventions align with technical best practices and humanitarian standards
  • Manage rapid emergency responses and operational adjustments
  • Oversee financial management, donor compliance, and award/grant management
  • Collaborate with SCUS leaders to standardize processes and improve strategic linkages

What it takes

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience plus at least 13 years of relevant experience
  • Proven experience within humanitarian context overseeing large and complex USG projects
  • Strong knowledge of USG humanitarian funding modalities and compliance
  • Experience leading, managing, and developing high-performing teams
  • Ability to manage ongoing change in external and internal environments
