The role
Mitti Labs is seeking a Senior Manager, Finance to build an in-house finance function, covering payroll, payments, financial close, tax and regulatory compliance, and strategic FP&A support.
What you'll do
- Run payroll and payments for US and India entities
- Manage monthly close and statutory audits
- Support forecasting and strategic FP&A
- Handle tax and regulatory filings
- Own finance and payroll platforms and financial controls
- Manage intercompany reconciliation and transfer pricing
What it takes
- 7 to 10+ years in finance operations, controllership or accounting
- Experience running payroll, monthly close and statutory filings in India
- Experience with a US entity: US payroll, US book closure and working with US tax advisors
- A working grasp of intercompany accounting and transfer pricing between a US parent and an Indian subsidiary
- A track record of managing external accountants, auditors and tax advisors to deliver on time
- Strong instinct for what looks normal in a set of accounts, and what doesn't
