The role

The Senior Manager, Ethics and Business Conduct Policy and Governance role at CGIAR involves leading the design, governance, and operationalization of the Ethics and Business Conduct (EBC) Framework across the Integrated Partnership, ensuring consistency, accountability, and effective oversight.

What you'll do

  • Lead implementation and continuous improvement of the EBC Escalation Framework
  • Design and maintain EBC governance structures and operating models
  • Serve as principal technical authority for EBC policy and procedural development
  • Establish and maintain classification frameworks, reporting taxonomies, and escalation decision matrices
  • Provide strategic advice to the IP EBC Executive
  • Coordinate and prepare high-quality governance reports and briefing materials

What it takes

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; Master’s degree is preferred
  • Progressively responsible experience in ethics, compliance, governance, policy development, risk management, oversight, or related functions
  • Experience preparing governance reports, briefing materials, and presenting recommendations to executive leadership
  • Experience working with boards, governing bodies, audit and risk committees, or comparable oversight structures
  • Fluency in English; a working knowledge of an additional language is an advantage
  • Core competencies in accountability, collaboration and communication, respect and inclusion, results and impact orientation
