The role

The Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) is seeking a Senior Government & Community Relations Event Planning Specialist to lead the planning and execution of strategic events for the Government and Community Relations team.

What you'll do

  • Lead the planning and execution of large-scale, high-profile WWP GCR events
  • Prepare WWP senior leaders for major GCR-led conferences
  • Manage event budgets and staffing
  • Oversee the development and review of promotional materials
  • Create and maintain event schedules, timelines, agendas, and activity plans
  • Provide on-the-ground support and coordinate teammates and contract personnel

What it takes

  • Five years of experience in event planning and management
  • Three years of experience with event registration and management software
  • Experience in government & community relations or similar fields
  • Bachelor’s degree in event planning, hospitality, communications, or related field
  • Expert knowledge of event management
