The role
The Senior Facilities Management, Infrastructure & Sustainability Consultant will provide senior technical and coordination support to the Central Support Services Division (CSSD) at UNRWA Headquarters in Amman. The role involves managing infrastructure projects, coordinating construction and renovation works, and implementing sustainability initiatives like the SMART Project. The consultant is responsible for ensuring efficient facility operations, contract monitoring, and reporting on energy and emissions.
What you'll do
- Coordinate facilities management operations and infrastructure activities
- Manage construction, renovation, and capital works projects
- Implement sustainable procurement and environmental sustainability practices
- Monitor contract performance and service level agreements (SLAs)
- Prepare reports and analytical summaries for management
- Support the development of SOPs and technical guidelines
What it takes
- Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Civil Engineering, or related field
- Minimum of six years of experience in facilities management and infrastructure
- Knowledge of construction methods and safety requirements
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
- 100% proficiency in English and Arabic
- Experience with international organizations is an asset
