The role
The Senior Director, Leadership Giving at the National Audubon Society will manage a portfolio of major and principal gift donors, supervise a team of fundraisers, and collaborate with the Gift Planning team to secure bequest intentions and non-cash assets from high-net-worth individuals.
What you'll do
- Manage a portfolio of major and principal gift prospects
- Establish and enhance an individual major and principal giving program
- Oversee a multi-year fundraising initiative
- Ensure direct report(s) are successfully staffing and activating Executive Directors and other regional field leadership
- Provide leadership, coaching, and supervision to a team of direct reports
- Work closely with the VP Leadership Giving and other members of the development management team

- Proven track record of closing gifts of $100K to $1M+
- At least 15 years of related work experience, including at least 5 years of leadership and management experience

- Creativity in connecting Audubon’s mission and work to donor interest
