Consumer Reports is seeking a Senior Designer, Data Visualization to create data-driven visual stories that make complex product testing results, safety investigations, and consumer reporting accessible and actionable.
What you'll do
- Create visual designs such as charts, graphs, and interactives, for digital products, ensuring alignment with the overall UX strategy and user needs.
- Partner with the content team to understand upcoming stories and develop design approaches to enhance coverage.
- Analyze, synthesize and interpret data to be translated into visual designs that facilitate the reader’s understanding and experience.
- Use design, imagery, and data to deliver compelling visual storytelling.
- Design data visualizations and information graphics that include high-fidelity visual designs, typography, color schemes, iconography, and layout, ensuring brand consistency across all platforms.
- Prototype and develop interactives in HTML, CSS and JS.
