The role

The ACLU seeks applicants for the full-time position of Senior Content Strategist in the Communications and Marketing Department of the ACLU’s National office in New York, NY or Washington, DC. This is a hybrid role with in-office requirements of two days per week or eight days per month. The role involves leading the development and execution of the ACLU's YouTube strategy, including content creation, project management, and strategic planning.

What you'll do

  • Set the long-term vision, goal, strategies, and tactics to scale the ACLU’s YouTube channel
  • Project manage the end-to-end production of YouTube content
  • Develop content plans that position the ACLU as a thought leader on YouTube
  • Craft and implement creative, multi-faceted strategies for advocacy, public education, live events, and paid media campaigns on YouTube
  • Align YouTube content planning and editorial calendar with broader social media and communications strategy
  • Work with the Social Media and Multimedia teams to develop formats and optimize videos, headlines, metadata, and thumbnails for YouTube
