The role

The Senior Child Protection & MHPSS Officer will be responsible for implementing child protection and mental health programs in Aswan, Egypt.

What you'll do

  • Develop monthly work plans in line with the overall project plan.
  • Monitor CP activities and ensure safe and quality implementation.
  • Provide guidance to field teams on CP and MHPSS interventions.
  • Lead the implementation of MHPSS interventions focused on safeguarding within Community Learning Schools.
  • Assess training needs and develop relevant capacity-building programs.

What it takes

  • Bachelor’s degree in development related fields or psychology is preferable.
  • Minimum 4-5 years of experience in development/humanitarian aid; previous experience in CP and MHPSS support field.
  • At least 3-5 years of field experience, with proved experience in training, coaching, and capacity building in CP.
  • Good understanding of rural development needs and challenges.
