The role
Planet is seeking a Business Development Manager to advance the delivery of their solutions to US Combatant Commands, focusing on identifying and qualifying new business opportunities, and supporting acquisition activities.
What you'll do
- Identify and qualify new business opportunities
- Pursue long term strategic captures and support acquisition activities
- Advocate for Planet capabilities to mission users within Defense organizations
- Contribute to the identification, prioritization, and shaping of new business pursuits
- Develop and execute capture strategies
- Coordinate responses to RFIs and RFPs

- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
- Experience working directly within the US DoW Combatant Commands
- Knowledge of DoW Program Executive Offices and Portfolio Acquisition Executives
- Ability to communicate effectively with senior level civilian leadership and/or military flag officers
- Experience forging mutually beneficial relationships with Defense and Intelligence organizations
