The role
The Senior Burn Crew Member (SBCM) works with the Nebraska Fire Team to build prescribed fire capacity and conduct land management operations in the Nebraska Sandhills. The role involves overseeing staff and volunteers during wildland fire activities, including ignition, control, and suppression, while maintaining relationships with private landowners and conservation partners. The position requires participating in ongoing training to master fire techniques and equipment, contributing to the organization's mission of large-scale grassland conservation.
