The role
The Senior Budget Assistant will be responsible for budget formulation, monitoring, and financial control and compliance within the Finance and Budget Section of the Economic Commission for Africa.
What you'll do
- Undertakes reviews, analyses, and preparation of the programme plan and its revisions
- Assists managers in the elaboration of resource requirements for budget submissions
- Monitors budget implementation/expenditures and recommends reallocation of funds as necessary
- Reviews requisitions for goods and services to ensure correct objects of expenditure and availability of funds
- Monitors extra-budgetary resources, including review of agreements and cost plans
- Assists in the preparation of budget performance submissions and reports
