The role
The Senior Assessment Officer will manage the implementation of Shelter and Site Management assessments, including data collection, analysis, and reporting, in the occupied Palestinian territories (oPt).
What you'll do
- Ensure the assessment, analysis, and support material development are planned and implemented in a structured and coherent manner
- Manage the relevant assessment cycle stages, including oversight of research design, data collection, or analysis
- Develop and implement specific Sites and Shelter based assessments
- Provide day-to-day direct and indirect management of the research team within their workstream
- Coordinate with relevant actors and partner organizations
What it takes
- 3-4 years of relevant working experience in a humanitarian setting
- Excellent quantitative and qualitative research data analysis experience
- Familiarity with complex sampling design
- Excellent verbal and written communication and drafting skills
- Experience with Sites and Shelter research
- Fluency in English, Arabic is an asset
