The role

Save the Children is seeking a Senior Advisor, External Reporting & Analytics to manage financial processes, including tax preparation and external audits. The role involves providing accounting guidance, developing analytical reports, and leading process improvement initiatives for the Finance Division. The incumbent will also supervise staff and ensure compliance with GAAP and IRS regulations to support the organization's global mission.

What you'll do

  • Manage financial reporting processes, tax preparation, and external audit facilitation.
  • Perform monthly variance analysis and ensure compliance with GAAP and IRS standards.
  • Lead NICRA submittal packets, including analytics and rate adjustments for USAID.
  • Draft finance policies, procedures, and define accounting treatments for complex transactions.
  • Supervise, coach, and develop finance staff to support divisional priorities.

What it takes

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting and at least 7 years of relevant experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of GAAP, IRS regulations, and non-profit management.
  • Experience using financial management systems and MS Office suite.
  • Proven track record in audit/tax facilitation and transformation initiatives.
  • Experience working in an international non-profit environment.
