What you'll do
- Deliver salmon and water quality education lessons to Pre K-12 students in the classroom and in the field
- Assist in lesson planning, preparation, and clean up
- Document education lesson data for tracking & reporting purposes
- Provide in-office support to the Education Program as needed
- Staff engagement tables at outreach events and interact with the public
- Assist with program development
What it takes
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Ability to drive up to 1.5 hours one way to a school, up to 3 hours per day (company vehicle or current IRS mileage reimbursement provided)
- Submit to and pass a background check for working with children, schools and interns
- Ability to lift up to 40lbs
- Ability to work outside for long periods in a variety of weather conditions
- 18 years or older
- Valid driver's license
- Punctual and prepared for daily tasks
- Proficiency in a second language is an asset but not required
- Experience caring for fish aquariums is an asset but not required
