The role
The Safety & Access Manager is responsible for leading GOAL Sudan’s safety, security, and humanitarian access functions, ensuring the safe delivery of programs in complex environments.
What you'll do
- Lead the development and implementation of safety, security, and access strategies and procedures
- Advise management on security risks, access challenges, and mitigation measures
- Conduct security risk assessments, audits, and field visits
- Monitor the operating environment and provide regular security updates and analysis
- Oversee security incident reporting and response processes
- Build and maintain relationships with local authorities, communities, partners, and other stakeholders
What it takes
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in safety and security roles within the humanitarian sector
- Security Management Level 4 Certification
- Experience leading or managing a country-level safety and security function
- Experience developing and implementing Security Risk Management Plans
- Experience working in high-risk and conflict-affected environments
- Experience delivering training and presentations
