The role
Plan International Ghana is seeking a Safeguarding & Child Protection Specialist to provide technical leadership and support in implementing and monitoring safeguarding and PSHEA policies.
What you'll do
- Provide technical advice and support to strengthen the implementation, monitoring and compliance of Safeguarding and PSHEA policies
- Support the identification, assessment and mitigation of safeguarding risks
- Contribute to the development and delivery of safeguarding training and awareness materials
- Ensure safe and meaningful engagement of children and young people
- Support safeguarding reporting and referral mechanisms
What it takes
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Sciences, Social Work, Development Studies, Psychology or a related field
- At least 5 years of relevant professional experience
- Demonstrated expertise in safeguarding and child rights
- Strong technical knowledge and experience in protection, GBV or gender
- Experience in responding to safeguarding concerns and policy breaches
- Experience in providing technical advice and developing and delivering safeguarding training
