The role
The Coos Watershed Association is seeking a Restoration Technician III to join their team and assist with noxious weed control, native plant nursery management, vegetation monitoring, and restoration crew activities.
What you'll do
- Conduct weed management in conjunction with the Association’s restoration program.
- Help facilitate native plant nursery management.
- Collect and process seed from native species for use in restoration projects.
- Work out in the field with the Restoration Crew as needed.
- Conduct vegetation monitoring activities.
What it takes
- One year of directly related work experience.
- ODA Commercial Pesticide Applicator license, with an Agriculture Category certification.
- Strong knowledge of native and invasive plant species in the Pacific Northwest.
- Ability to calculate ratios and percentages for spray calibration with a high degree of accuracy.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and GIS software.
