The role
The Kent Conservation District is seeking a Restoration Coordinator to manage habitat restoration projects funded by the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) within DNREC, as well as with key external stakeholders.
What you'll do
- Develop restoration project prioritization and selection criteria
- Manage contracts and projects associated with IIJA funds and IIJA grant deliverables
- Develop performance measures for IIJA-funded restoration projects
- Monitor and track the results of IIJA-funded restoration projects
- Coordinate with underserved communities through regular meetings and community outreach
- Write grant reports and manage grant funds
What it takes
- At least three years’ experience as a planner OR at least three years’ experience in a planning function
- Experience in having responsibility for a most complex planning project
- Experience in serving as a subject matter expert in habitat restoration and/or resilience-based projects
- Experience in managing grants
- Experience in developing project selection criteria
- Experience in managing contracts and projects
