Action for Children is seeking a Waking Nights Residential Support Worker to provide emotional and practical care for young people in a brand-new residential facility in Chesterfield. The role involves maintaining a safe and calm environment overnight, managing behaviors, and preparing the home for daytime operations. You will work as part of a dedicated team to support children with physical and learning disabilities while adhering to safeguarding procedures and care plans.

What you'll do

  • Provide emotional and practical support to young people throughout the night.
  • Maintain a calm, secure, and safe environment following safeguarding procedures.
  • Collaborate with professionals to follow individual care plans and attend meetings.

  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or willingness to complete within 2 years.

  • Flexibility to work shift patterns including 9:30pm to 7:30am.
