The role
The Research Manager will lead a team delivering critical humanitarian analysis in Ukraine, including needs assessments and market monitoring, with a focus on strategic leadership, team management, and research oversight.
What you'll do
- Provide line management, oversight, and capacity building to senior members of the Humanitarian Needs Monitoring Unit
- Represent the Humanitarian Needs Monitoring Unit and its work internally and externally
- Disseminate research findings to ensure information products are understood and integrated into key planning and decision-making processes
- Ensure that research cycles in the Humanitarian Needs Monitoring Unit are implemented to a high standard and in line with the required processes and procedures
- Develop and monitor the Humanitarian Needs Monitoring Unit strategy
- Provide inputs for grant writing and management for the Humanitarian Needs Monitoring Unit
What it takes
- Three years of relevant working experience in a humanitarian setting, such as programme management, evaluation, and assessments
- Familiarity with the aid system and the research community
- Excellent communication and drafting skills for effective reporting
- Experience in the Ukraine response is desirable
- Security environment: Proven ability to operate in a complex and challenging security environment
- Fluency in English is required
