The role
The Research Assistant will monitor processes, research and compile information for reports, generate statistical reports, assist in website maintenance, prepare presentation materials, perform data entry and extraction functions, maintain files and databases, and assist with the collection and analysis of data.
What you'll do
- Monitor processes and schedules related to the unit’s outputs, products, tasks, etc.
- Research, compile and organize information for reports, work plans, studies, briefings, meetings/conferences, etc. related to the unit’s work areas, with a focus on food systems, digitalization, bioeconomy and productive development.
- Generate a variety of standard statistical and other reports using various databases.
- Proofread documents and edit texts for accuracy, grammar, punctuation and style, and for adherence to established standards for format.
- Assist in the maintenance of websites by scanning, converting and posting a variety of documents onto the site.
- Assist in the preparation of presentation materials using appropriate technology/software.
What it takes
- High school diploma or equivalent is required
- At least three (3) years of experience in collecting and researching data across various areas of social and economic development or related area is required. The minimum years of relevant experience is reduced to one (1) for candidates who possess a first level university degree or higher.
- Working experience on food systems, digitalization, bioeconomy and productive development is desirable
- One (1) year or more of experience in data analytics or related area is desirable
- English and Spanish are required at UN Level II and III respectively for reading, writing, listening, and speaking.
