Repair and Maintenance Technician

The role

Ellison Institute of Technology is seeking a Repair and Maintenance Technician to provide maintenance, repair, and general upkeep services across multiple sites, including plumbing, electrical, painting, and carpentry work.

What you'll do

• Performing a wide range of general maintenance and repair duties
• Quickly diagnosing and resolving minor facility-related issues
• Ensuring all work is compliant and adheres to health and safety regulations
• Working closely with other departments and external contractors
• Managing contractor management across all sites
• Implementing and reviewing of department SOP’s and procedures

What it takes

• Proven experience in a facilities maintenance or handyperson role
• Broad knowledge of general maintenance areas such as plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and painting
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality work
• Ability to troubleshoot and efficiently resolve problems, escalating issues as needed
• Familiarity with safety protocols and compliance requirements for facility management
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
