The role
To assist the Team Leader and staff team in providing a quality service to clients as they progress through our residential service. A support worker participates as part of a therapeutic team and is expected to act as a viable resource to clients and staff.
What you'll do
- Engage with and build a professional and trusting relationship with clients
- Perform all the duties relating to the facility
- Support clients throughout the night
- Ensure the facility runs smoothly and effectively
- Update internal client case management database
- Communicate effectively in the handover and via email
What it takes
- Minimum recognised accredited NFQ Level 5 degree / certificate in addition studies or related field
- Experience of working with drug and alcohol users and/or excluded groups
- Knowledge of Health and Safety
- Good communication skills
- Positive solution-focused approach to problem solving
