The role
Applewood Centers is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse for their Residential Program in Northeast Ohio, focusing on behavioral health services for children and adolescents.
What you'll do
- Collaborating with psychiatrists, psychiatric nurse practitioners, therapists, and case managers
- Providing behavioral health education and behavioral management strategies
- Assessing clients for additional treatment needs and linking them with needed services
- Providing clients with community resources
- Leading day-to-day activities of the department (as a shift charge nurse)
- Meeting with clients independently as referred by Psychiatrists and psychiatric APRNs and for triage
What it takes
- Associate Degree in Nursing required
- Active Ohio Nursing license, RN required
- BLS certification preferred
- One or more years of demonstrated nursing experience in behavioral health or psychiatry preferred
- Cultural competency and interpersonal communication skills
- Technical proficiency in utilizing Agency computer systems and software
