The role

The incumbent will manage the day-to-day operation of recruitment services and activities, including the revision of vacancy advertisements, production of effective material for advertisements, preparation of technical tests, and monitoring the process of screening applications against established criteria.

What you'll do

  • Manages the day-to-day operation of recruitment services and activities
  • Prepares for interviews and ensures recruitments are carried out in accordance with the overall recruitment plan
  • Initiates contact with job applicants and provides guidance and feedback on the recruitment process
  • Advises the HRCMO and Field Human Resources Officer on recruitment issues
  • Produces periodic statistical reports on recruitment activities
  • Contacts counterparts in missions, non-governmental organizations, and national recruitment services

What it takes

  • A university degree in human resources management, public or business administration, or a related field
  • At least five years of progressively responsible relevant experience in human resources management, including two years in recruitment and succession planning at a supervisory level
  • Proficiency in English and Arabic languages at UN Language Framework levels
  • Ability to analyze and apply technical expertise, relate and network, plan and organize, cope with pressure and setbacks
  • Experience in managing the day-to-day operation of recruitment services
  • Experience in producing effective material for advertisements and preparing technical tests
