The role
The Quantity Surveyor is responsible for carrying out and coordinating all quantity measurement activities required for monthly progress payments, variation management, and verification of contractors' executed quantities.
What you'll do
- Measuring executed quantities for all disciplines (civil, electrical, mechanical) using tools such as tape measures, laser distance meters, levels, and software (Excel, Revit, AutoCAD).
- Performing topographic and geometric surveys on site.
- Compiling measurement sheets for monthly progress payments (SAL).
- Spot-checking quantities declared by contractors.
- Verifying BoQ quantities against executive drawings and actual site conditions.
- Supporting the Coordination & Contract Manager in preparing Interim Payment Certificates.
What it takes
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Surveying, or Building Technology from a recognized Syrian university (or equivalent).
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor or in a similar role on construction projects.
- Ability to read executive drawings (civil, architectural, MEP).
- Proficiency in AutoCAD for quantity take-offs (or Revit, if available).
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, charts).
- English B2 (written and spoken) – mandatory.
