The role

The Public Benefits Paralegal at CAMBA Legal Services assists clients in completing benefits applications, conducts intake assessments, and serves as a liaison with outside organizations to help clients achieve their housing and legal goals.

What you'll do

• Assist clients in completing benefits applications
• Conduct intake and assessment of clients' situations
• Serve as a liaison with outside organizations
• Maintain client confidentiality
• Comply with Federal, State, City, and CAMBA security and privacy policies
• Develop curriculum to address clients' housing needs

What it takes

• Associate’s degree (A.A.) and two years applicable experience or bachelor’s degree (B. A. or B.S.) and/or equivalent experience
• Prior experience working with Housing matters preferred
• Bi-lingual preferred (Spanish, Haitian Creole, French, Arabic, Russian, Urdu)
• CAMBA’s specific competencies: Organization, Confidentiality
