The role

The Public Art Accelerator Intern is a key support role that enables the efficient facilitation of the Public Art Accelerator program and supports the curatorial process for other annual programs and Triennial 2028 through routine operational and arts administrative tasks, as well as light curatorial research.

What you'll do

  • Coordinate Wednesday meetings, including managing refreshments, AV/Tech, and guest speaker needs
  • Support the Assistant Curator in communicating and coordinating with Accelerator Cohort artists
  • Implement evaluation surveys (welcoming and graduating)
  • Review and update the Accelerator digital resource library
  • Attend workshops and meetings as needed
  • Support the planning of site visits and travel as needed

What it takes

  • 1 year background in art history, arts administration, or an office environment
  • Demonstrated knowledge and interest in contemporary art and public art
  • General interest in creative justice, community-based public programming, curating, and art education
  • Proven interpersonal skills, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work efficiently and collaboratively
  • Must be comfortable with G-Suite
