The role
Provide direct nursing services, mental health assessments, and treatment to individuals with severe and persistent mental illness. Work in a multidisciplinary team environment and offer crisis interventions and limited case management services.
What you'll do
- Provide psychological problem identification, crisis interventions, and similar services to assigned patients.
- Provide limited case management services to people we serve as needed.
- Assist consumers with psychological and social development and rehabilitation.
- Coordinate consumer’s use of other WellPower programs and outside community resources.
- Coordinate medical care and intervention with other clinical staff and psychiatrist(s).
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What it takes
- Graduation from accredited school of nursing. Licensed as a Practical Nurse in good standing with the Board of Nursing of the State of Colorado for LPN.
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Colorado. License must be in good standing for RN.
- Minimum two years nursing experience; experience in a behavioral health or outpatient clinic preferred for RN.
- Experience with the severe and persistently mentally ill or similar populations strongly preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience working with consumers with a serious and persistent mental illness preferred.
