The role
The incumbent will contribute to the development and improvement of protection monitoring methodologies and provide technical guidance on protection monitoring and analysis.
What you'll do
- Contributes to the development, testing and continuous improvement of Agency-wide protection monitoring methodologies
- Supports the integration of quantitative and qualitative methodologies into protection monitoring and analysis
- Provides technical guidance and support to field offices on protection monitoring, analysis and reporting
- Assists with the coordination of cross-field protection trend analysis, vulnerability profiling, thematic assessments, and risk analyses
- Provides technical input into the production of thematic analytical products, vulnerability profiles, risk assessments, and interactive dashboards
- Supports field and headquarters protection reporting and advocacy
What it takes
- Advanced university degree (Master’s or equivalent) in international relations, human rights, international law, humanitarian affairs, public policy, social sciences, information management or another relevant field
- At least five years of progressively responsible and relevant experience in protection monitoring and analysis, protection information management, humanitarian research, human rights, refugee protection or a related field
- Experience managing and analyzing quantitative and qualitative protection data, including protection incident monitoring, trend analysis, vulnerability profiling, and risk assessments
- Experience developing analytical methodologies, indicators, classifications, reporting standards, and information management tools
- Experience producing analytical reports, vulnerability analyses, protection assessments, briefing materials and evidence-based advocacy products
- Working knowledge of Arabic is desirable
