The role
The Property Management Assistant will assist the Unit on a full range of Property Management issues, including periodic physical verification, report preparation, and database management.
What you'll do
- Participate in periodic physical verification and counting of equipment
- Assist in preparing and disseminating monthly, yearly, and ad hoc reports
- Ensure all property equipment are bar-coded, decaled, and tagged
- Assist in the assignment and installation of equipment to offices and staff
- Provide support for Assets Management regarding the acquisition and reconciling of IPSAS property items
- Assist in the write-off/disposal exercise
What it takes
- High School Diploma required
- 5 years of experience in Supply Chain Management, business administration/accounting or IT
- Experience in Inventory/warehouse and Property Management
- Fluency in oral and written English is required
- Knowledge of French or another official United Nations language is an advantage
