The role
Responsible for maintaining the physical condition, appearance, and operational efficiency of the property, ensuring a safe and attractive living environment for residents. Performs maintenance repairs, general upkeep tasks, and contributes to marketing efforts.
What you'll do
- Perform routine, preventive, scheduled, and emergency maintenance repairs
- Maintain landscaping and perform snow removal
- Ensure areas are safe, tidy, and free of trash
- Participate in apartment turnovers and provide guidance to apprentices
- Communicate effectively with residents and management
- Attend required in-service training sessions
What it takes
- High School Diploma or GED
- Basic skill in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, equipment repair, and painting
- EPA Section 608 Technician Certification or ability to obtain within 90 days
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to read policies and procedures
