The role
The Resilience Officer will provide technical leadership in Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR), Community-Based Disaster Risk Management, Early Warning Systems, and Anticipatory Action interventions under the RESTORE Project.
What you'll do
- Lead implementation of community resilience activities
- Facilitate establishment and strengthening of CBDRM Committees
- Support development and implementation of Community Action and Adaptation Plans (CAAPs)
- Coordinate dissemination of impact-based early warning information
- Represent World Vision in district-level DRR, Early Warning, and flood coordination meetings
What it takes
- Bachelor’s degree in Disaster Management, Environmental Science, Civil Engineering, Agricultural Engineering or related fields
- At least 3 years of experience implementing DRR, resilience, climate adaptation, humanitarian, or community development programs
- Demonstrated experience in Community-Based Disaster Risk Management (CBDRM)
- Experience working with humanitarian organizations, particularly in early warning or DRR programs
