The role

The Mule Deer Foundation is seeking a Project Manager to assist with habitat projects on USFS lands in southern Utah. This is a full-time, field-based, 2-year position with potential for extension.

What it takes

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Wildlife Management/Science, Forestry, Ecology, Wildfire Science, or closely related fields
  • 2+ years of experience in related fields
  • Knowledge of timber sale administration, forestry techniques, wildlife management, wildfire/fuels, and/or project management
  • Familiar with USFS, NEPA, stewardship agreements and other policies
  • Experience or working knowledge of habitat issues
  • GIS, Field Maps, remote sensing, Avenza and OnX maps, Office software, and social media platform familiarity
