The role
The Netherlands Red Cross is seeking a Project and Program Management delegate to manage supported projects in Sudan, focusing on Anticipatory Action, DRR, and CCA. The role involves project management, coordination, and ensuring compliance with donor and Red Cross standards.
What you'll do
- Act as NLRC’s budget holder and project manager for the Water at the Heart of Climate Action programme
- Monitor budget and expenditure, and follow up with SRCS and other Consortium Partners
- Lead the planning, budgeting, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting of projects
- Engage actively with project stakeholders including UNDRR, WMO, relevant government bodies, and other in-country partners
- Support SRCS in applying consistent administrative, financial, logistical, and accounting procedures
- Review project progress jointly with SRCS, track performance against targets, and assess quarterly programme and financial reports
What it takes
- Master’s degree in water resource management, disaster risk management, climate science or related field
- Minimal of 5 years experience in project/program management on at least one of the above subjects
- Experience working and living in another country/context than your domicile
- Strong project management skills, including PMER, financial monitoring, and narrative and financial reporting
- Experience as a consortium lead or coordinator
- Experience and understanding of triple nexus: humanitarian aid, development, and peacebuilding
