The role

The Programme Officer will lead the Making Trade Happen project and other initiatives focused on market entry and trade development within the Sector Competitiveness Section of the International Trade Centre.

What you'll do

  • Develops, implements and evaluates assigned programmes/projects
  • Performs consulting assignments in collaboration with the client
  • Researches, analyzes and presents information gathered from diverse sources
  • Coordinates policy development and prepares evaluations or other research activities
  • Organizes and prepares written outputs such as draft background papers and sections of reports
  • Leads and participates in large, complex field missions

What it takes

  • Advanced university degree (Master’s degree) in business administration, management, economics or a related field
  • A minimum of seven years of experience in project or programme management administration or related area
  • At least five years of experience in business matching for trade and investment
  • Experience working closely with funding agencies is desirable
