Programme Management Specialist

The role

The Department of Peace Operations is seeking a Programme Management Specialist to provide remote programme management, drafting, and analytical support for mine action programs in Ukraine. The role involves preparing and reviewing program documents, developing proposals, and supporting donor reporting and senior-level briefings. Candidates must have an advanced degree or equivalent experience and at least seven years of relevant experience in project management and humanitarian affairs.

What you'll do

• Prepare and/or support the development of programme documents including proposals, concept notes, and strategic reports.
• Review and refine draft programme materials for clarity and consistency with UNMAS priorities.
• Support the development of programme planning and resource mobilization materials.
• Conduct desk research and analysis of relevant program documents to inform written outputs.
• Consolidate inputs from multiple stakeholders into high-quality documents.
• Provide quality assurance support for selected written products.

What it takes

• Advanced university degree or first-level degree with 2 years extra experience.
• Minimum of seven years of progressively responsible experience in programme management.
• Experience drafting project proposals, concept notes, and donor submissions.
• Desirable: Experience working with UN programs or humanitarian operations.
• Desirable: Experience in mine action or explosive ordnance risk reduction.
• Des1rable: Knowledge of the mine action program in Ukraine.
