The role
The Programme Management Officer will lead engagements with Central Asian Member States, international and regional organizations, and manage relevant capacity-building projects and programs in the region.
What you'll do
- Lead local engagements with Governments of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan
- Coordinate with the United Nations Regional Centre for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia (UNRCCA) and relevant regional organizations
- Oversee the implementation of programmes and projects in the region
- Monitor and analyze project development and implementation
- Provide technical assistance to national and local authorities, legislative bodies, civil society, and the private sector
- Conduct research and present information on counter-terrorism, violent extremism, and conditions conducive to terrorism
What it takes
- Advanced university degree in business administration, management, economics, law, political science or related fields
- Minimum of seven years of progressively responsible experience in project or programme management
- Experience in the management of counter-terrorism or PCVE capacity-building and technical assistance projects
- Experience in working with or for Central Asian authorities
- Experience in managing inter-agency programmes or projects
- Experience working in the field
