The role

The Programme Management Officer (Donor Relations) will coordinate funding for mine action programs, liaise with donors, and support resource mobilization initiatives in New York.

What you'll do

  • Coordinate processing of funding provided through the United Nations Voluntary Trust Fund for Assistance in Mine Action
  • Liaise with international donor community and propose opportunities for donor funding of mine action activities
  • Develop, monitor and implement resource mobilization initiatives and plans
  • Negotiate contribution agreements for approval and signature by the Director
  • Support senior management engagement with donors and represent UNMAS as appropriate in donor meetings and conferences

What it takes

  • Advanced university degree (Master’s) in business administration, management, economics, international relations or a related field
  • Minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in project or programme management, administration, or related area
  • Two years of experience in resource mobilization and management including reviewing and discussing the terms of agreements with donors
  • Experience coordinating with senior level United Nations colleagues and government representatives on complex issues
  • Experience drafting and editing documents for structure, grammar and UN editorial protocol with minimal supervision
