The role
The Programme Management Officer will support the Digital Transformation Team in driving innovation and implementing digital transformation strategies within UN Peacekeeping operations.
What you'll do
- Supports the establishment of partnerships with internal and external actors
- Designs, organizes and implements solutioning mechanisms such as hackathons and accelerators
- Participates in the development, implementation and evaluation of assigned programmes/projects
- Undertakes survey initiatives and prepares written outputs on innovation
- Provides substantive support to consultative and other meetings
- Coordinates activities related to budget and funding
What it takes
- Advanced university degree (Master’s) in business administration, international relations or a related field
- At least five years of progressively responsible experience in project or programme management
- Experience working on digital transformation and/or innovation
- Experience managing innovation initiatives such as hackathons, accelerators, incubators
- Experience building and managing multi-stakeholder partnerships involving academia, private sector and government actors
- Proven track record of actively participating and managing innovation initiatives
