The role

The Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) is seeking a Programme Management Officer to oversee fiduciary accountability and risk management for Country and Regional Pooled Funds. The incumbent will implement enterprise risk management strategies, ensure regulatory compliance, and provide policy advice to the Executive Office. This role involves coordinating audit processes, training staff, and supporting humanitarian aid delivery through data-driven planning and oversight.

What you'll do

  • Support fiduciary oversight and compliance for Country and Regional Pooled Funds.
  • Drive implementation of enterprise risk management (ERM) strategies and risk registers.
  • Liaise with oversight bodies regarding audits, evaluations, and investigations.
  • Provide policy advice to the Executive Officer on the management of humanitarian funds.
  • Develop and conduct ERM training workshops for managers and staff.
  • Analyze programme data and provide insights to facilitate evidence-based decision-making.

What it takes

  • Advanced university degree in business administration, management, economics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of seven years of progressively responsible experience in project or programme management.
  • At least 3 years of experience at the international level.
  • Proven expertise in Country-based Pooled Funds management within the UN or international organizations.
  • Demonstrated experience in risk management, compliance processes, and programme monitoring/evaluation.
  • Fluency in English (professional level III) is required.
