The role

The Programme Finance Analyst position is responsible for resource and budget management, financial oversight, and support to the Harmonized Approach to Cash Transfer (HACT) in UNDP Afghanistan.

What you'll do

  • Monitor overall delivery and implementation status of development projects through regular review of financial resources received, disbursed, and expected or already available.
  • Ensure the accuracy, compliance, and effectiveness of all REVIVE project financial management activities.
  • Lead the full project lifecycle for the REVIVE project in Quantum, from development to successful execution.
  • Provide training for programme/portfolio/project personnel on finance issues.

What it takes

  • Professional accounting qualification from an internationally accredited institute of accountancy
  • Advanced (Master’s) University Degree in Finance and/or Accounting
  • Minimum 2 years (with master’s degree) or 4 years (with bachelor’s degree) of relevant professional experience
  • Experience with web-based management systems such as ERP financials (e.g., Quantum)
