The role

The Procurement Associate (DRC Census & Humanitarian) supports high-level technical and administrative procurement for UNFPA's DRC census and humanitarian portfolios, ensuring end-to-end visibility of commodities from global sourcing to delivery.

What you'll do

  • Support market research and bid analysis for specialized census equipment
  • Manage Global Long-Term Agreements (LTAs) for the DRC CO and ESARO region
  • Work closely with the DRC Country Office to translate work plans into procurement plans
  • Monitor core commodity transactions and implement remedial actions
  • Manage 'Green Light to Ship' process for high-cost IT equipment

What it takes

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Procurement, Logistics, Marketing, International Relations, Development Studies, or equivalent field
  • Minimum of six (6) years of relevant experience in procurement, logistics, or supply chain operations
  • Experience working in development and/or complex humanitarian operating environments
  • Strong interpersonal skills and capability to develop and maintain partnerships
  • Experience using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems
  • Fluency in English and a high working knowledge of French
