Compass Health Center is seeking a Primary Therapist to work with patients aged 12-18 in their Mood & Anxiety Program, providing therapy and ensuring comprehensive care.
What you'll do
- Complete initial intake evaluation to determine diagnosis and appropriateness of program
- Provide group and individual therapy
- Provide family therapy as needed
- Communicate with patients’ family members or support system, on a weekly basis or as needed
- Coordinate care with patients’ outside providers to ensure continuity of care
- Create individualized weekly schedules for each patient based on need
What it takes
- Psychologist or Master’s level therapist with clinical license in Virginia
- 2+ years clinical work experience post-Master’s
- Knowledge and experience utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
- Experience with patients in crisis
- Experience working in partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, inpatient hospital, or residential setting
